Looking like something picked straight from the Amalfi Coast, the @reno.diary’s newly renovated Brisbane home oozes coastal vibes and luxury! Boasting four bright bathrooms and four spacious bedrooms, this dream home is really set to impress. From Casa Bella’s backyard oasis to the stunning master bathroom statement pendant, we’ll take you through how to steal the look of this drool-worthy Queensland home makeover!
Cindy, one half of the renovation duo that makes up @reno.diary knew straight off the bat that lighting can make or break a space and put heavy importance on creating the atmosphere to work, wind down or play. When planning the master bathrooms at Casa Bella, the Brisbane-based renovation powerhouse with an impressive legacy ensured they balanced function and style. The Rattan Singapore Round Pendant by Fiorentino helped bring one side of Cindy’s dream bathrooms to life with a natural and coastal finish. Complementing the statement travertine tile, luxury brass finishes and oak accents this space leads to a luxe powder room that was meticulously planned to maximise the space including the use of a built-in ledge and perfectly scaled hand washing station.
On the opposite side of the room, Casa Bella’s master enjoys an extension that was once a classic Queenslander verandah. The spectacular transformation from deck to a decadent bathroom featuring a double shower and custom statement vanity, continuing the stunning Amalfi-inspired travertine and brass moments. To keep this space comfortable all year round, the duo at @reno.diary have hand-selected products such as the Australian-made IXL tastic 3-in-1 exhaust fan range and smart LED strip lighting. By installing a stylish light, heater, exhaust combination product, the master suite can ensure steam-free mornings and warmed up winters. The smart strip lighting featured behind the large scale vanity mirror adds another element of luxury and functionality with hands-free control and ability to change the colour temperature or brightness for optimum ambiance.
As anyone in sunny Brisbane knows, keeping cool in the balmy Sunshine State summers is a challenge. Staying sweat-free is easy and much more energy-efficient when you use a ceiling fan, by using a fan with air-conditioning, the average Aussie can save up to 40% on your next electricity bill. It comes as no surprise that Cindy and Dan from @reno.diary have installed a sleek, modern ceiling fan in the master of Casa Bella. You can get the look with a Breeze Silent Ceiling Fan by Calibo which pairs a stylish, clean design with up to 14,310m3/hr of smooth airflow that promises sweeter dreams.
Having had many light bulb moments throughout their recent project, it seems only fitting that @reno.diary featured an exposed bulb pendant in their powder room! The Oak Tavistock Pendant by Eglo Lighting brings personality and depth to the space and has an E27 screw meaning the size, colour and shape of the globe can be changed to match the look you’re going for. We love seeing these gorgeous pendants make a statement in beautiful coastal spaces.
Need inspo for an outdoor oasis? Cindy and Dan’s eye for detail and reno experience make it look easy! This beautiful outdoor oasis featuring an infinity pool, sunken fire pit and quintessential barbeque uses washed timber and travertine elements perfectly framed by Hot Rio Nights Heliconia. Incorporating garden and exterior lighting not only elevates your space but also guarantees the perfect transition from day-to-night entertaining. Keeping with the coastal theme, our picks to keep your outdoor space are the Havit Tivah LED Spike Lights paired with a sleek white wall light like the Havit Lisse Range or a brass statement light like the gorgeous Telbix Perova.
